Backlight for Deleon and others

Got tired of MDing with a friend with and XLT and having to stop at dark while he kept digging and finding good stuff. Got myself a felxible necked LED light and strapped it to my Deleon and now I can go as long as he can. And the flexible neck also allows me to point the light at the hole to help dig up the treasure. Just an Idea.

Hey! I got one of those exact ones last week at a book fair here in my office. It came with a seperate blue and white LED to use with the flexible one removed. I haven't thought about using it detecting but it might just find a home in my pouch for those near dusk times and I can't see while digging.

Hey I have something like that - its plastic with the flexible gooseneck light - very tiny - and I picked it up at the Sharper Image store. What a cool idea!

Ace hardware has a newer version with a longer neck. I have taken mine and used cable ties to attach it to the box on my Deleon and it works. I have been out several nights using it.

Cost is around $6-10 US.

Also found at Wal-Mart lastnight for under $5.00.
