Hello all,
I live in Juneau Alaska and have had a Fisher F5 for a year now. I have used it little but have had success with it the couple times I have taken it to the beaches, finding a few coins and some kids toys lost in the sand.
Does anyone here have any advice for me using it to prospect for gold here in Alaska?
Thanks.

Welcome aboard Aktraildog.... if it is nugget shooting you want to do ... I recommend the White's TDI... made for that... and great results from Alaska. Also, a bit cheaper, is the White's GMT. I would recommend the TDI though for best results.. it is a Pulse Induction machine and will pick up the deeper nuggets. RickO

So you're telling me that I have the wrong MD for gold here? Dang. I have a safe full of guns and now it looks like I'll have a closet full of MDs. ??? Anybody got a Garret that they'll trade for a bear gun?

Anybody out there like they're F5?

Yeah, my detector will only pick nuggets if it's a pretty good size nugget. And when it does, it's just kind of a very low grunt.

:welcome2: Welcome to the forum from Vancouver, WA.:goodluck:
