I was speaking to a new friend this weekend..
I found out he has a big parcel of land on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.
He was telling me about it. Apparently, the land once held an Indian village in the 1600's. And has been in his family since the late 1700's.
I told him I was a metal detector, and collector and asked him for permission to search it.
He said the best time would be after harvest season. Apparently he rents out the land to farmers.
So, needless to say, I am very excited at the prospect of hunting this area in the fall.
As far as he knows, no one has ever searched the area before. I can imagine some of the relics that will be there..
