My brother flew in for the weekend and had been interested in metal detecting from seeing some of the pictures of my finds. We drove over to a levee that separates a few small lakes and parked right where the dock was. I turned the AT Pro on and my very 1st signal was a 4" 51-52. He asked what it was, and I replied "probably a pull tab, but also possible a nickel or gold ring". He laughed and said, "Yeah right, a gold ring...". Well, sure enough out popped a really nice 14k with 4 stones (2 missing). He couldn't believe it. This is the 4th gold of the year and 3rd from that lake community. Didn't get much else besides clad, 1956D wheat, few bullets, and a few aluminum tokens and a ton of trash not pictured.
A 3rd brother showed up and got the cleanest looking wheat I have ever seen come out of the ground and a 1926 walking liberty quarter. Thanks for looking.
