MXT300 screams overload above preset...anyone in the South Bend area with a spare coil? **Updated**

Recently my MXT300 has begun screaming above the preset triangle and it's quite annoying. :mad: It has also become very chatty to I'm beginning to think it's the coil. I'm wondering if anyone is around the Elkhart/South Bend area so I may be able to try and swap coils to verify it's the coil.

And the answer is no. Dang it! Looks like I need to find a new coil! It’s been doing it for quite awhile, I wonder how many good finds I have missed. :mad::mad:
 
Rudy,

The issue has been resolved. I just purchased a 950 concentric coil from a Whites dealer in Goshen, IN. We tested the new coil and all of the problems that I was experiencing are gone. Thank you for prodding me to think about unplugging the coil and trying it.

It's pouring rain now so tomorrow morning I'm going to hit the woods with it and give it a go.
