It has been a while since I have pulled a Roosevelt dime even though I have been finding silver "relatively" frequently as of late. Weather has been really crappy the last 2 days (thankfully no rain today) but it was overcast and grey. So I hit an area which is considered "Old Towne" in Tacoma found a nice "junk ring" that I could have sworn was gold coming out of the ground but then started to hit Wheaties with shocking regularity plus more quarters than I have found on a single hunt in a while.

All Wheats were coming up 12-40/41 on the CTX and some memorials were coming up 12-43, so the ground mineralization was impacting the VDI. At the tail end of my hunt I was coming up on an traffic light intersection and I have been having good luck finding silver right at an intersection (see my post about the Walker hunt).

So I was thinking, "Self, maybe luck will strike again.", no sooner I got a good toned 12-43, thinking it is another clad dime I flipped the plug and out came the 1958D Rosie, nice to see that dull grey color on an otherwise cloudy day. Made my day considering how difficult finding silver can be nowadays.

Totals were $3.13. $2.98 in clad, 5 Wheaties (lower left of the pic) a 1942D, 1944S, 1944, 1952D and a 1953D. I cleaned up the Rosie and secured it in a flip.

Overall a pretty good day for recoveries. HH all!

12-43 Silver dime? Uh oh. I might have left a couple silvers in the ground then! Whoops.

Yipper 12-43 is a dime all day long.. The big difference between the ETRAC and the CTX is the ETRAC silver tones SCREAM where the CTX is very consistent whether it is clad or silver. My only minor complaint I have with the CTX.
