Weather here in socal has been a bit gloomy lately, most beaches seem to be pretty sanded in as well.. last week I revisited a honey hole that gave up some nice old gold and silver back in February. The spot got hit with the right combo of surf action and opened up again and I was back in business for 2 solid fun hunts pulling out the old stuff before it sanded back in. Thanks for looking, HH! :cool3:

Awesome finds Slim...congrats on the golden goodies. Even though I have not been out much this month, the gold skunk has me by the tail :mad:

Awesome finds! Congrats on the heavy one but that older broken one is neat too!

Good job Davy finding a spot with a little erosion. You are right about conditions. I've seen nothing but small waves and sand on top of sand up here. Congrats on a nice chunk of 14K.......

Ping me if you're around my area we'll go find something:D

Way to go, congrats on the loot!!!

That class ring is a rough on for sure..

Stay on em!

Nice work there Slim! That sure was some old gold bearing sand strata you got yourself into! Sorta cool that the bank is only open for a short time per century!

:dingding: I found a VERY similar gold and onyx ring this year except yours is his daddy. And yours also fits a bit better! Congrats!

Congrats on the Gold. It's been bleak lately. To the point that I don't even go out much. Just waiting til conditions change. Hit some local spots last week and was disgusted at how sanded in it is right now. What more sickening is my 401.. Lost 5k over the weekend. Thanks economy!

Awesome mix of finds. It's nice seeing old coins, sterling and some gold. That class ring looks like it was hit with a lawn mower. Congrats!

Guessing that broken class ring had been in the surf since 1961. I ‘ve noted that 10k get real brittle the longer it soaks in salt water. Congrats on the big phatty

Thanks Ice! Yea man seems like almost every 10k ring that comes out of this spot is extremely crusty and broken

Thanks Mud! Yea man this spot seems to be holding some really old gold, I imagine there's quite a few oldies waiting to be exposed

Thanks Felix! I'm almost tempted to clean it up but I kinda like the old patina on it, must of took a long time soaking in the water to get 14k this tarnished..

Sweet finds!! What a thrill that must be to extract a ring like that. Wow.

Thanks Alaskan! I was definitely stoked to find it, especially since the tide was coming back in and I was beginning to get pushed off the wet sand by strong surf.

Wow, thats nice. Love that fat gold ring. Congrats.

Thanks Saltshaker!

That ring is pretty chunky, well done on some nice finds!

Thanks sandgroper!

Thanks LT, Hope your able to get out this weekend and find some gold, there's some nice low tides on tap  Man sorry to hear about your 401, that blows man

Congrats on the nice finds!

Thanks twizzlerlord!

Nice old gold!

Thanks metaladdict!

Thanks Jam! The spot I've been hitting is very unforgiving on 10k

Thanks Numil! Yea I was thinking the same thing on the class ring, lost in the 60's and slowly deteriorating since then churning around in the surf...I guess a ring return is out of the question on this one eh?

Gold comes in all shapes and conditions. A home run for you as you captured both.

Thanks dirtydog! :D
