Only had a short time to hunt so I picked a juicy looking curb strip and dove in. There was a plethora of Memorial pennies and rusty nails. Then I got a 53 on the ATPro about 5 inches down. I often skip 53 signals because they are usually pull tabs but one this deep was worth checking out. Happily it turned out to be a 1910 V nickel, my third.

Also found a concave brass object. Wondering if it might be a button? Anybody experienced in identifying old buttons have an opinion? It’s thin, lightweight and as you can see, slightly larger than the nickel.
