Great article with some tips on where to go metal detecting.

"We have special hunts just for the kids and a soda pop scramble," Leverett said.

During the soda pop scramble, the kids search for pull tabs off soda cans. For each one they find, the receive a can of soda. The kids are serious about the search too. Markel walked away with more than a case -- enough to quench his entire family's thirst for the whole weekend.

"The kids really enjoy it," said Kristina Markel, Quinton's mom. "We have a great time."
