Hi everyone. I was metal detecting a farm field near my house and this tiny 3 cent coin popped out! It's from 1852. Turns out a house was built here in the late 1840's and by 1920 it was torn down. It's my first coin out of this site so I'm really excited to see what else comes up.

What a great and unique find for your first silver! I could imagined how excited you were when you found out what it was!
Keep up the great success

Man the newbies are hitting homeruns left and right. First the guy with the 1796 Draped bust large cent as his first old coin and now this.

Beginners luck is an amazing thing.

That's a great find. Congrats

I swear the whole detecting world is going to find one of those damn things before I ever get one. Good for you
