I love to find knives in the ground for some reason.
New, old, broken, rusted, pocket, key chain and whatever.
Still hunting an iron mine trying to squeeze out a few more goodies where I have found a couple of wheats and finally a 1917 merc the other day.

This thing was super jumpy like everything I have found at this challenging site, but a good tone triggers my digging instinct and this was a good one.
In that same hole near this knife was a couple of iron nails and this large water spigot or whatever it is.
Finding anything good here with the million signals you get is a victory.
I was actually going back to the truck to leave after finding only some interesting but not too great iron pieces and this was the very last signal I dug for the day.
This knife is in pretty good shape and a great find for me and saved the hunt.

I recently found one similar to yours, but in worse condition, at a site I have been digging.

Do you ever get the pocket knives working again?

I have several that are in need of an electrolysis bath.
A couple were in perfect working order and I carry one in my treasure hunting pants and one on my key chain.
I lost so many Victorinox key chain knives passing though airports I refuse to ever spend another red cent on one ever again.
Luckily, some good ones seem to have been planted in many of the parks I hunt.
