Has the Vanquish Vanquished?

Maybe just random words, or not..

Got an email titled "Minelab FBS Newsletter - July 2019" a few days ago. This is what it says:

IS THE CTX 3030 BEING DISCONTINUED
PART 2?

Last newsletter we led off discussing the Equinox 600 and 800 and what it meant to the CTX 3030 and the E-Trac. We wanted to reiterate that there are NO plans by Minelab to replace either of these models with the Equinox models that came out in 2018. As we covered in the Bootcamps, the Equinox compliments the FBS models and many users of the CTX 3030 or E-Trac have and use both effectively as each has its pros and cons.

Do you really think that Minelab would not have developed a detector that lists for under $1,000 that outperformed another model in their product line that sells for considerably more . . . simple business logic would tell you the answer to that question.

Now the teaser videos have been released by Minelab dealing with the Vanquish with more details expected to be released in the coming months. Again the rumors have started that this will replace your CTX 3030 or E-Trac . . . hold on to your equipment is all we can say but you have will continue to have two high-end, high-performance detectors that will bring home the goodies.

The CTX and E-Trac remain solid performers in the field and will remain in the Minelab product line for the foreseeable future. A replacement for the CTX 3030 is on the future model board and it will incorporate the latest technology as well as features based on feedback from current users of Minelab products but in the meantime, FBS technology is still the performance leader when it comes to most treasure hunting applications.

That came from treasurehuntingoutfitters.com. Not sure how reliable their source is, or if they know something we don't. As much as I'd like to see an updated flagship FBS detector, I doubt we'll see one any time soon.

There’s a contest to win a new one from Minelab by entering the contest and telling them how you would use the new Vanquish. ?
How would one know if we don’t know what (type of hunting environment) this detector is aimed at.

most web page developers who care about attracting visitors to their web site use a range of keywords that accurately describe the product. But they also use the name of competing products to lure those users over to the web site and maybe buy the product they are pushing. In this case the Vanquished. I am puzzled that they did not include vanquished in the keywords meta tag.

That's why I named this the "Ghost Detector ". Kinda like a ghost gun. A pieced together fantasy that ain't nobody gonna see !

The vanquish research and development has been put on hold due to all the equinox repairs demanding every man on deck, might be a few years before the vanquish is back on the table...
