Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast, Queensland Australia.
Lots of sand just went missing. combination of full moon King tide massive swell and sweeping current. First 2 photos are of yesterday the others are from a few weeks back. I just love erosion

Wow that is amazing. I never heard of a King tide? I guess it causes a lot of erosion. That should definitely give you an advantage on finding the deep stuff. Old gold is usually deep and old gold is heavy...

Dang!...How far down to the hard pan, If it is still deep then you would virtually have to get there as it is cutting or it is good bye to treasure. There again I`m not to sure I would get out there while it is eroding either.
Nice looking beach. Congrats on the rings.

WOW!! A few years back we has another Aussie member who posted about those huge tide and sand shifts and had pictures of the coins just exposed in the rocks and sand!!

That is not a King Tide, it is a cliff! I can see some guy drunk walking off that baby at night! Wouldn't that be funny? Face plant in the sand!
