Well, the weather was so nice on the 14th that KT could not stand to be around the Castle another minute after a week of ice and snow and very frigid weather, so after lunch off He went to a local park.

Unfortunately every mom who had been couped up with their pre-K kids had the same idea!:lol:

Got to the first park and a few moms and kiddos there...one kid would not leave the swings while the hunt was going on, kept swinging high, keeping KT at His distance, less He get bopped in the head by a wayward foot! But KT got the other 3 swings hunted and a twirly-gig set up...not much...but a few coins...then on to a sand lot with a big tree in the center...KT traditionally hunts this location, this time having some smaller kids trailing him around. No difference this time, except one signal sounded very good and KT dug around, and went in with a bare hand to pull out the prize...turned out to be a ragged piece of can slaw that shredded KT's right thumb! Trying to hide the profuse bleeding, He made it quickly back to the Royal Chariot, opened up the first aid kit, washed out the wound and got a clean bandaid on it, then finished up the hunt by finding a brass key near a picnic table. Old man sitting there asked what I was finding and KT told him just a few coins and a brass key. He said "Looks like a fun hobby!" to which KT replied, "It can be when you find something good! HA HA!"

Then left that site as the kids were getting noisy to the point that KT could not hear the tones on His Royal Wand. Headed over to a local playground at a tennis center and just as KT arrived, a car pulled in with about 3 mommas and 8 kids....KT managed to get the swingset hunted before they came over there, and with all the shrieking, He moved over the the basketball court. Started getting a lot of signals around the trash bin, and after digging a couple of them, KT decided the players musta either played pitch a penny or had a penny fight! Everything around there was either pull tabs or pennies! When some older kids showed up to play B-ball, KT loaded back up and drove around to the other side of the tennis center, where a sand lot volleyball court was, along with some bleachers for the Tennis watchers, next to the courts. A worker walked up and noted, say, If you want to look for something good, a diamond stud gold earring was lost and pointed to a specific bleacher. KT had His Compadre out for the sand lot so after hunting it with no finds, He turned up the gain and went over the bleacher...after digging a couple of dozen pull tabs, and some aluminum gum wrappers, KT called it a day.

Only 93 cents for 2 hours of hunting, but the exercise felt good and the sunshine was nice and warm on the King's back.

Got pics below to prove the obligatory zipper pull and jeans button also were found!:lol:

OUCH! Sorry to hear of your 'shredded' thumb/finger. That's why we ALWAYS wear gloves! Use some of the 'Royal Tax $$' and get a pair. You don't need to be shedding Royal blood while collecting the taxes. : ) Glad you got out and good luck on future hunts.

Glad you got out and had some fun, sorry you had the booboo, and just want to say that you do write a good hunting story, your highness! Enjoyed it!

Looks better than my last three years of totlots. Guess someone has to be the totlot jester. Tag I'm it!

Haven't enjoyed your posts in a minute your majesty! At least your kingdom isn't under a foot of snow. Glad you got out, sorry you didn't strike it rich.
