I am currently using the Jolly Rodger headphones I got with my Etrac. What are the best headphones I can use for the Etrac and is there really much of a difference?

I use Auvio wireless and they work really well unfortunately they are discontinued and hard to find.

I use Killer B's and Hornet model and like them very much. Black Widows, and Gray Ghosts are great also I understand.
agreed, i love not being on a leash. i also hear the TDK wr700's are just as good

There is a HUGE HUGE difference. Do not skimp on headphones.
I have Killer B's .... a dual ear and single ear set.
The 1-sided Stinger is great for detecting in social environments or places where you want to hear your environment (such as bad neighborhoods.) I bought them and was suprised how much I love them.
The Killer B dual ear headphones are the most comfortable and well built of any I've tried.
