How many of you have encountered one of these things while MD'ing at the beach? Do you hunt in the path behind him? Here in NW Fla. I have followed behind them at 3 different beaches and have pulled coins each time from their path after they have gone through. Yesterday I got a 75 cent pocket spill down about 3" in the path behind one.
Sandnut and I hit the beach yesterday (and had a great time - he taught me some great tips - THANKS Sandnut! ) he says he likes to hit the point where they turn around. I had heard about them and worried about hitting the beach after they went through but no more. Sure they MAY pick up watches, bracelets, and necklaces with their tines but I'm not too worried about that.
