The cold spell has broken here and I was able to get out today. The ground was nice and soft, unlike my last outing. The yards that I hit this time were not new to me, but I upgraded from the Ace 250 to the AT Pro via a very nice Christmas gift, so I wanted to go over some areas again. The sterling ring was the second signal I got today, so it was nice to know I had silver from the get go. And I always love finding Mercury dimes; they're beautiful coins. I'm not sure what the green piece of jewelry is, maybe a brooch or hair pin? It used to be gold plated. And I'll never complain about wheat pennies!

As for the belt plate, it seems it is of Civil War date, as this type was manufactured by various companies for the US Army from the 1850s until 1865.
