Hey Diggers,
All our snow from yesterday melted overnight. I headed back to the siege site to see what else I might find. Mostly musket balls the first 4 hours and then 2 silver coins right before I had to leave. The 1637 is a real beauty and definitely one of my favorites. The 1688 was on the surface (just under the leaves) and rang up a meager 35 on the XP Deus! I'm sure other detectorists probably thought it was yet another tiny piece of foil and passed right over it! Here's some pics. Thanks for looking and happy hunting! Dave.

I was impressed , then I realized you cheated. No fair jumping on a jet to Germany to find older coins !!!

Your recent post made me go look to see what your silver coins look like....
Is it common for detectorists to find 1600s coins out there??
Are you from the states or there??
