Really nice work. Are those original artwork or copies of period pieces?

The liberty head is a bit of a mystery. It showed up on some rifles and a few other things in a small area in Pennsylvania back in those years. Some say it was an Indian head,..others say it represented the Goddess of Liberty. I myself lean toward the goddess of liberty. The sun is a consistent motif found on original horns as well. The lettering is relatively consistent with script found on original horns,..but it varies greatly. None of these are bench copies of original horns,..just influenced by period art and scrimshaw. Here is an article in a Kentucky rifle book on the liberty head with another horn I did recently

I like your work. A friend (now deceased) and I used to have a blast shooting muzzle loading rifles. I have made a couple powder horns but did not try scrimshaw.
