a friend of mine has one..dont like em AT ALL..much rather the handheld style....added weight aint worth it..if i remember right..gota keep em moving to detect....(been a while i may be wrong about that) either way..i know my friend sold his and bought a hand held..he didnt like it either
 
some love them, some hate them, main benefit is the tone you hear with the coil is the same tone you hear with the Pinpointer, nice when there is bits of nails and other unwanted targets in the hole
 
I don't have this one

I have the SunRay probe for the eTrac and it is a well made product. I bet Ralph has made this just as good.

I have one on my explorer 2, it is a quality pinpointer. It has a drawback for me. there is a toggle switch to switch between the pinpointer and the searchcoil.
Sometimes after digging a target, I'll hunt with the switch in the probe position:mad: and waste a lot of time and arm muscle. Other than that it really helps locate the find in the hole.
