Went out on Saturday to hit the curb strip in front of a closed up school that had been built in the 1920s. It is on a pretty busy road, and it didn't seem like it had been hit before. Right in front of the old flag pole, by the sidewalk, I looked down and saw a 1956 Rosie! I am wondering if this was somehow a fresh drop, or if something was holding up this coin all of these years....anyone else have any surface silver finds?!

Here's my surface Barber from 2012. Crazy when they're just waiting patiently to be picked right up! You can see she's perched on a root.

Most excellent find indeed. WTG. Last year My wife and I were out detecting in the woods and she found a Merc laying right on top in a sandy area. I thought it might be a ffresh drop too. Don't know.:?::?:
