Bet the first thought wasn't"Broke gold ring". Good ear too! Some of those broke rings give weird signals.At least my junk ones do! :laughing:

Thanks everyone for your great comments. Last year was my best year of detecting ever in about 18 years of detecting but this year is looking better so far.
