I asked this a couple of years ago but never got an answer. Does anyone know how the retune switch on a Tesoro Sidewinder works? I guess it's there for a reason. I haven't been able to find a manual on it either.

In all metal while pin pointing your coil over the target, in a few seconds the object will quit sounding off. In the hobby it is called nulling out. Pushing the retune over and letting it spring back into center position will reset the circuit to sound off on the target the coil is over again. It is kind of like a reset function in a way. Hope this explanation helps you out.
