Headed to the hills last weekend to do a little bottle Digging. Dang the snow line is still at 10,500 feet. There's a lot of snow still in the hills. My favorite fishing holes are still frozen over. I still had a great day and managed to dig this Old Pabst beer bottle. This bottle is from when Pabst was brewed by the Best Brewing company (circa 1900). Before it won the blue ribbon that made it famous.

Red beer is better than no beer! Maybe I should have used yellow. That would have made people thing about what was in there?

No beer is better than Pabst, no beer. But, I have to say, that is one nice embossed bottle!
The color of the liquid even looks like PBR.

Found a similar embossed Falls City beer bottle a month or so ago. Somehow, it was pointing straight up in the ground with the top about 6 inches below surface. I had a coin sign signal right next to it. The top inch or so of the neck was broken off and if I hadn't been wearing gloves I would have sliced my fingers open while scooping out loose dirt. Just sliced the fingers of my gloves instead.

K&T
Sharp eye, it is a 1957 Belair. Here is a pic of it when I found it in the garden store.
