I was working the wet sand with my explorer at myrtle last year when a lady walked up and asked if I had found a ring she had lost the previous day.
I asked her if she had been in the water and she said she was sitting in the same place the day before .
2 minutes later I found the ring (solid 8 on the explorer) she almost cried.
said her husband gave it to her for her anniversary and that he was not happy when she lost it.
the ring was 14k with a HUGE opal and 2 large ones on each side.

Now thats more fun than finding one for your own collection

Yes, it is. That was lovely of you to find it for her. But then, that's what makes our hobby so fulfilling. That and meeting wonderful people here and out there when we're doing our thing.

thats is so cool everything happens for a reason , and now your a hero ,and wont be called " those people who like to find other peoples stuff on the beach and sell it for there own gain" anymore .now she'll have a story to tell her grand children when she passes the ring to the next generation ,,,, sweet!!! good going
