I'm not sure how many discount stores carry Q-Force batteries, but the Sav-A-Lot by me does and they are cheap-o things. I still have plenty of AA batteries, so haven't tried any Q-Force ones but do use the 2/$1.00 transistor batteries in my probes and smoke detectors. So far so good. Anyway, I saw they have 100 packs of AA for $5.00, so 5 cents a battery 
I should pick up a 100 pack and see how long they will last in my Ace, although with cold weather approaching even the better batteries drain pretty quickly.
