It looks like we are heading to the Pacific Northwest for vacation this year. We will be staying near the beach. We plan on hitting it one day. With the ACE 400, I looks like it will be dry sand only. I assume this means I cant us it where the waves JUST went back. Correct? Any tips or things to watch out for while on the beach? Thanks!!

I never owned a garret but most detectors will work in the wet sand if you turn the sensitivity down which means less deprh. Many of the good finds aren’t always deep so just do it. Who knows, a $10k bracelet could of been dropped and be 2” under the sand and say DIG ME. Have fun!

Great on dry sand found a sterling ring in OBX last summer.
Wet sand you have to turn the sensivity way down or notch out all VDIs 50 and lower. So that takes all the gold VDIs out.

There are YouTube videos on how to use an Ace 400 on wet sand.

Once you get it set up it will work sort of. I noticed in wet sand it was very hard to pinpoint.

Thank you all! I found a bunch of great videos on YouTube! For some reason I never thought of that....
