Is it safe or ok to operate a high end digital detector like the V3I in cold conditions? Say like thirty degrees.I dont want to abuse this machine.:?:

I thought so. My trusty u Max I took out in all kinds of weather and it didnt flinch, but it wasnt digital. Im not taking any chances.

I've used mine many times in cold weather.

Just don't set it down in the snow.:D

As long as the ground can be dug....I wouldn't worry about it too much.

I wouldn't leave it in your vehicle though.

Cold weather..

It's currently 18 F. Here in upstate NY, and I've had my new E-Trac for three days, and I'm not that brave to detect in that. Besides we got 1" of snow over night (we had none) nothing turns a neighbor off to giving permission to hunt their yard than to see your yard with any dirt on fresh snow after you detect it.
