Description: Trolley line passed the foot of Prospect Lane. The Gertrude Corbusier house is visible in center background up the hill. Southport [word missing] March 4, 1895: "To Rent 6 room cottage near the line of trolley cards. Apply to G Corbusier." Note that this portion of Rose Hill was not wooded. Building at right rear of trolley is Lane's wagon shop, later a garage. The picture was taken from the front yard of the old Alvord House on Pequot Avenue, site now of a commercial building. It's cool to find a piece of history from your hometown.
