Here's one similar to one I drew for my club newsletter years ago. I drew different cartoons each month. I exchanged newsletters with other clubs across the country. Someone began changing them a little and sending them to /treasure magazines.

A metal detectorist was hunting near an Indian reservation when he happened upon an old Indian Chief laying face down in the middle Of the road with his ear pressed firmly against the blacktop.

The detectorist asked the old tribesman what he was doing.

The tribesman began to speak..."woman, late thirties, three kids, one barking dog in late model Four door station wagon, traveling at 65 m.p.h."

"That's amazing" exclaimed the detectorist. "You can tell all of that by just listening to the ground?"

"No," said the old tribesman. "They just ran me over five minutes ago!"

Here's a couple.

Two MD'ers are checking the edge of a wooded area, and along the edge is
a road going through the woods. After a bit, here comes a funeral procession
down the road. The one MD'er takes off his headphones and cap, and stands
silently as the procession goes by. After taking this in, the 2nd MD'er says,
"Geez, Gus.. That was a really nice gesture for you to make." Gus says, "well,
she was a good woman.. Been married for 43 years..."
