hey any suggestions on which metal detector to buy for gold and meteorites?

I think there have been posts on this subject before.
It would depend on the material the meteorite is composed of. With a Nickel/Iron meteorite, any machine would find it, as long as you were in all metal mode.
As for meteorites composed of different materials, I'll let others answer that one. Although obviously there would need to be some metallic content.
As which is the best machine for gold ?, I can't answer that one.

It seems the 12khz units are good on gold. Iron/Nickel as well. I use a Treasure Baron Cointrax II. A little pricey though. The Tesoro Compadre would probably be hard to beat if you're on a budget.
