First hunt in new farm field. Was just planning on scouting it and looking for iron patches. Walked toward the nearest high ground and started getting iron. First signal was a shotgun shell headstamp. Next one was really high but kinda scratchy in some directions. Was thinking iron ring. Boy was I wrong. Fresh from the mint Barber half

Still on my bucket list after more than 30 years of dirt fishing. Beautiful coin. Looks like it might grade around VF-35 to XF-40
Including a couple screen shots from the PCGS Coin Grading App. If you haven’t looked at this app iPhone or iPad and possibly available for Android devices, it’s got great photos for all regular U.S. issues and Colonials in grades from Poor (P001) to MS68 (Mint State 68)
