This was my first time messing around with photo editing software and shooting coins. How did I do?

looks good to me!
off topic: is that a "real" coin? it looks like the word "trust" is spelled with a "v" instead of a "u".

Yes, thats the way they were minted. It's an artistic use of the Roman alphabet that was very common in the 1920s.

ok, thanks. i don't see very many older coins from down that-a-way.
so much for my thoughts of it being a mint error and worth some big bucks.
