I started detecting last March and was a total newbie! I did manage to dig 13 silver's, including an 1899 Barber dime from a very pounded park. This was the second silver coin I've ever dug. Well, I decided I needed to start the year off dirt fishing so I visited this same park. Only found two coins in three hours. Both were in the same hole. One was an 1899 Indian, my first, and the other was a v nickel so toasted I couldn't read the date. Two firsts on the first day of the year!!! I was ecstatic!! Now if I could just figure out the picture posting deal, I'd share my digs. Thanks for reading.
