So I have never found a musket ball before, and don’t know if I ha e seen one in years. Today I was curb surfing in a town that has its beginnings in mid 1800’s. Anyway I was digging a tone that was very erratic between 23-31, then jump to mid 40’s and even in the 70’s. I found a bottle cap, and some foil. As I was was filling the hole I notice a ball. I figured it was a bouncy ball and went to move it with the pointer and it went crazy.

Anyway, can you tell me what I might have found? It’s 1 inch in diameter, 3 1/4 circumference, and weighs 2.2 ounces. Any ideas?

I agree with Kale1278, Ball bearing. A lead musket ball ,I think would geta white powder coating by now.

Yep I would also agree with ball bearing. Musket balls usually come out chalky white from the lead oxidizing, and are usually not perfectly round.
