Congratulations on such a great detector.
My advice would be to read the manual, practice the functions and know how to noise cancel and ground balance.
Watch YouTube videos on its use by others.
Practice on the targets you’re looking for so you can get an idea of the numbers that show up in the Target I.D.
Try 5 Tones setting over 50.

I agree with post above. Start in park 1 5 tones and either learn to ground balance or just use auto ground tracking. This machine will kick but on stock settings. You can tweak things as you get familiar with machine. I have a lot of equinox videos on my youtube channel Detectorben with some settings tips and live digs if you want to check them out.

yeah, agree with others. stay in park 1 or 2 or field 1 or 2. Leave the other advanced features for later. You will find tons of stuff in those modes. The Minelab engineers designed the machine for every level of experience a detectorists might be at.
I made the mistake of trying to learn everything on the 800 and it slowed me down and often had me baffled at times.
