So, having trouble sleeping, I'm up in the wee hours of the morning, reading up on the daily internet news. I discover that today is pi day. Get it? March 14th...3/14...pi is 3.14...
They say the digits after the decimal points continues on forever, with no pattern. They have it calculated(just for fun) to over 20 trillion decimal places!
There's a guy from India who memorized 70,000 of those numbers!! He recited them blindfolded for the Guiness Book of World Records. Took about nine hours.
So far in my life, I have had no use for the formula C=πr², or A=2πr. I have always kept this in mind, though; just in case.
Now, I crave pie. Happy pi Day!
