So for my 1000th post on this forum, I though I’d like to share what I’ve found during the two weeks of my winter school holidays.

I found most of these relics and coins in public parks, however I did hunt an old demo-site which I saw across a park.

Overall, I found $193.96AUD ($144.57USD) in change (I know I’ve said this before, but those $1 and $2 coins add up really quickly, btw, you’d love it over here, ATPro Dude!)

I also found some other really cool coins and relics, including:

1951 Australian Penny (found at demo site, pictured)
1918 Threepence (great condition, pictured)
1921 Australian Half-Penny (pictured)
1910 British Half-Penny (pictured)
Silver threepence (no detail visible, pictured)
British Silver sixpence (date not legible, probably late 1800’s, pictured)
1877 British Penny (my oldest coin to date, pictured)
Religious medallion (silver, found at demo-site pictured)
‘City of Horsham’ button/badge (also found at demo-site, pictured)
Military Button with a coat of arms (also found at demo-site, pictured)
ARP Badge (also found at demo-site, pictured)
1962 ‘Malaya and British Borneo’ 1c coin
1971 English 1/2 New Penny

From top to bottom, the four coins in one of the pictures are the threepence, 1921 halfpenny, 1910 halfpenny and the sixpence

Sorry, only noticed now that some of the pictures are rotated, will fix next time :)

Congratulations on your finds and your 1000 Postings! Nice work and its always good to see what you are up to Down Under! Half a World apart but getting along as happy as a pair of Bandicoots!

Your military button is a World War 1 General Service Corps Button.

Yep, I got that one! That badge I found at the demo-site I mentioned, and the service button at an old park (along with all the old british coins!)

I assume a souvenir from the the Australian troops who served over in Europe in WW1 & 2.

I have found this type of badge in our local fields over here in England.

Cool find! That's a rising sun hat badge (I think the ANZACs wore those in WWI). I'm yet to find one of those :)

Great finds! Your clad totals are insane! Congrats.

Nice hunting! Those are some incredible finds, Congrats!

Thanks Ron!

Congrats man, been enjoying your posts, keep 'em coming!

Glad you're enjoying my posts, GroundSweeper! Thank you! :)

Just on a side note, I've figured out that the very worn threepence coin is also British. The faint outline of the Queen Victoria Jubilee head tells me that the coin was minted sometime between 1887 and 1893. Unfortunately I haven't found the date yet (and I don't know if I will)
