Found this 1827 Large Cent over the weekend,

I'm seriously thinking about cleaning it in some boiling hydrogen peroxide.

What do ya think, should I? :?:

Ya, just throw it in a display and look at it. Can't you just be happy you found it in the first place? lol

The value is in the eye of the beholder.
A nice clean well struck coin looks better to the majority than does something you just dug out of the ground.

My question is does this have the potential of being a high value coin?

Its been in the ground 150 years, it could be AU?

Since it unanimous, for now I will leave the coin as is.
Even though no ones has given me any real reason not to.
Except don't do it.

I'm leaving all my options open. :sniff:

ICE wins!

I'm going with ICE's opinion and the Large Marge is getting a bath of
boiling hyrogen peroxide this weekend.

:spin::D:D:spin:

If you clean it you can destroy its value... leave it to a professional to clean it... just about everyone has given you the proper advice here..
