Beach found silver Rope Ring

Found this ring at the salt water inlet I hunt, I've pulled a 1897 barber quarter, 1943 walker, some other silvers and a lot of Remington UMC turn of the century shotgun brass at this spot. The ring was deep in the black sand and had a considerable crust.

I'm curious to know the approximate age, I know jewelry goes in and out of style. It's coming along with the ugly box electrolysis.

It's hard to say but it doesn't look like a lot of the silver is "eaten" away. I'm going to guess 40-60 years old but I'd like to see what others think. Cool find- congrats!
 
I believe the hallmark sterling ended and the marking 925 started right around 1970.
