I bought a shovel from kellyco for I think 59.99 thinking it was going to be the be all end all of metal detecting shovels and make digging finds up easy. Well I was ripped off. It was a gator shovel, and it was basically !!!!. It might as well of been plastic...so I just happen to be in tru value buying some other stuff and took a look at their gardening tools and came across a 16.99 shovel that had a blade on one side and a sod cutting saw on the other side and holy !!!! is it sharp! I'd digs so easily and I was so surprised how much effort I was putting into digging before, so much I was not digging up stuff because it was past 4 inches and I just didn't want to deal with it. The shovel from tru value can cut a perfect patch and slices right through what I put it through. I'm so happy with it. So just because it's associated with metal detecting don't think it's some kind of magic shovel and DO NOT PAY MORE THAN 20 BUCKS FOR SOMETHING UNLESS YOU HAVE USED IT OR IT'S BEEN RECOMENDED BY A FRIEND. I have a pic of a similar shovel that I got I couldn't find the exact one and I'll get the name and info for you guys, but it's similar to this. But I will take a pic and put the info up for those interested I'm sure you can find it cheaper online. I just wanted to put this out there for us suckers that buy anything associated with metal detecting.
