hey yall well i just added another md to our collection for my wife

i bought the quattro any one have a tip or hints to help would be great

i also need to buy a pinpointer would like a pro pointer or sunyray ???
 
I've only used the quattro briefly as I use an etrac full time. It's a an awesome machine.. and the key with this thing is to just concentrate on high tones, work slowly and examine each signal for repeatability.. if it's high and repeats while pinpointing where the "beep" comes from, ignore the digital display and dig. Again, work slowly.... minelab machines tend to be a bit slower then what you might be used to... but the payoff is a lot of deep goodies... let us know how you make out...
 
Quatro could have had the same or close to the same power as the Explorer series but ML decreased the power substantially upon release as to not hurt Explorer sales. Max sensitivity on a Quatro is about half the sensitivity of a Explorer. Neat detector but ML really skimped on how much juice they gave it compared to the unit for a few hundred more and it was a flop.....
