So I was at the Neuro-Surgeon's office for my 1 month post-surgery checkup and I asked him if I would need to have something to carry with me at the airport to show that I have metal rods in my back and he said that Titanium would not activate a metal detector. I thought I would ask the real experrs.........You guys! I can't wait to get back out with my DFX! CHEERS! GiGi

interesting post! my detector picks up titanium just fine, but airport detectors must operate differently depending on settings.

I think that I would have him write out some sort of statement that you could carry with you and show if the need came up.

I have a titanium plate in my neck where I blew out a disk and my detector picks it up easy.
