This week's CRH for KT was slow but He did win out as it went along. Box 1 only gave up a few NIFCs, Box 2 was a nothing, Box 3 had 1 NIFC and the FACE OFF in it! KT was greatly surprised and a Happy King! See first pic below. Box 4 and 5 were nothing of interest, but KT was still happy about Box 3!

Friday morning when KT headed out to the bank He had other errands to run. When He arrived at his new dump bank, much to His consternation, the coin machine was out of service. So His Majesty headed up to run His 2nd errand, and visit Hobby Lobby in west Little Rock. After He accomplished that and made His purchases, He called the Queen and asked her to kindly look up the nearest branch bank, and lo, it was only 1/4 mile away. Arriving there, He discovered that that particular branch was closed permanently....so another call to the Queen, explanation of the situation and she looked up the bank's service number. After 5 minutes on hold listening to bad music, a polite young lady came on and asked how she could help His Majesty. After an explanation, she located another branch near KT's old office that not only had a machine but that it was operable. So off KT went and when He arrived He found that it was the same type machine and in service. A dump of the coins was made and no overage recorded.

KT was sure hoping to get a 65 for a trifecta, or another walker like last week for a different type of trifecta, but alas, it was not in the coins this week! Well, perhaps NEXT week! HA HA

Enjoy the pics of what KT recovered! KT enjoyed finding them! He was finished searching by half time of the NFL Thursday night game! HA HA

Maaaan! You are really good at this CRH!
Mud

Mud, with CRHing, it pays to be persistent! And to run volumes when you hunt. If KT were only hunting a single box of halves every few weeks, He would have little to report on a weekly basis.

But fortunately, KT hunts volume every week, and that enables Him to have some consistency to the recoveries! :D

Cool finds once again your majesty. I wish I could do bulk coin roll hunting where I live but sadly previous hunters ruined that privilege at all my local banks. All i can do is ask if they got any half dollars in today. Sometimes i get lucky, usually not then I just spend the clad ones at stores. The cashiers always give me werid looks when i do lol. only bulk use at self checkout at grocery stores.

KT considers Himself very lucky to be one of the few in this area hunting halves in bulk! One older gentleman KT met shortly after starting this hobby, his name is Lewis, gave up hunting halves a few years back, and now hunts nickels and dimes. He told me once he had nearly 40 complete Jefferson sets and 25 or so complete Roosevelt dime sets, as well hordes of scarcer wheat pennies and such! But he has done CRHing for right at 20 years now. Lewis does like to go to Tunica now and then. He takes $1000 in bills and. Buys halves for the half dollar slot machines, takes them to his car and examines them, then takes the ones he does not want back inside, and cashes them out at a different teller in the casino. Usually has very good luck, much better than playing the slots! Ha Ha

Double jealous no casinos near me even use cash anymore! Oh well. By anymore atleast since 2000. And sadly I wasnt into CRH hunting at 5 years old.

Nice finding 90%ers, Your Highness!

Holy cow I had no idea Tunica casinos still used real halves. I'm not interested in gambling but maybe I will accompany my grey-haired mother, hole up in the hotel room, and CRH all weekend!

I'm sure we've all noticed clad halves with smooth edges. I always assumed they had passed through Vegas at some point. Maybe not! I've also NEVER found a silver half with a really smooth edge -- well, I had one that was smooth all over -- but never one that looked like it had repeatedly been through a slot machine. I guess those get seen a lot and grabbed up, but I'd think some of them would still be in circulation. Or are silver coins harder than clad, and don't get a beat-up edge? Hmmm....
