23 gold medals, 18 lbs 4 oz total weight most of it 925 silver but each of these 23 gold medals has to be made with a minimum of 6 grams of the good stuff...pure gold
That would be 138 grams or almost 4.5 troy ounces in gold...over $5000 in melt prices today.
Like anyone would melt down an Olympic gold medal.
