Today I finished the restoration of the old trunk.
I purchased the trunk in 2010 in a pitiful state after a bad restoration
in 1973. Long postponed project ,to bring it back at its original glance.
Now it comes back to look almost like it would have been looked as new
in 1808.
The turquoise-green color was its original color .The letters were retouched
but original too. They were hidden under the paint.
As a last extra detail,I glued on the inner box a 1809 German-Napoleonic coin
I found some time ago.
