OK I know this is simply wishful thinking, but what is this? I'm sure it's probably a fake, but I found it today and it looks like it used to be part of a necklace.

Its Roman and quite common for them to have a hole in.A Constantine or something like that

Any way to tell if it's real? If real, it would be my oldest coin find.

It sure looks real to me my friend and ive handled a few of them i think you have found a nice roman there!It looks an early portrait possibly 2nd century looks very like domitian but i cant say for definite.Heres my domitian denarius.What do you think?I will try a close up and see if i can get a definite ID

I was thinking it sort of looked like Antoninus Pius, but I can't get the legend to line up in my head. It definitely looks earlier than Constantine, but I don't know whether it is 2nd or 3rd century, if it is real, and I can't tell from the picture.
