I am from the West Coast and we are always finding tokens and medallions in which no one seems to be able to identify. Also does anyone know of a sight that has knowledge of modern tokens and medallion identification. I can find numerous sights for older tokens but nothing for modern day things. Also I am going to try an attack a picture of this one medallion and hopefully someone out there has seem it before. medallion 001.jpg

To me it looks like the front of a small airplane with the X being propellers. Just a guess. I looked on the web and see that there used to be an airport in Bellfower but the area is now covered with houses.

The first thing I thought of was a person that helps with the game of Keno in a casino, Keno Assistant.

Keno Runner/Writers provide assistance to Keno players and encourage guests to participate in the game.
In addition, Runner/Writers ensure that players receive the highest level of service, as well as being an instrumental part in the smooth operation of the game.

The above quote is from Harrah's website.

 Yes it does and I've looked at this thread at least three times now, must be time for glasses.

Well then I have no idea what it is.

Can't help ya katper, but......WELCOME!! I have heard of Bellflower, but can't remember where it is? San Joaquin Valley??

I sent an e-mail to Kent State University with a link to this page.

I recieved an e-mail back telling me that my e-mail had been distributed throughout the universtiy hoping that someone would know something.

It may not be From Kent State University but I figured it was worth a try.

If and when I get a response, I'll post it here.

Coolwhips

My guess is that the medallion belonged to an assistant coach for the track & field team at Kent school somewhere. Maybe a university or maybe a HS.

Thank you coolwhips!!!!
Dumb me did noy figure you could just send emails to Kent. I am sure glad someone out there is watching my back and teaching me the ropes.
Thank you again!!!! Your great!!!
