These are from my neighborhood park that has been scoured for decades, specifically they were from an area near the backyard of a house that backs right up to this park, a site I have hit many, many times.
Instead of the obvious signals which are all gone, now I am working on the really masked, jumpy not obvious at all ones and I guess I am getting better at that since I missed these before but now I own these fine specimens.
Both were very shallow but extremely masked by a large amount of iron in this area.
I might have to credit the sniper coil on this one.
A really sharp 1919 wheat and a not so sharp 1917 merc but still a beauty.

Never give up...Never surrender...No place is ever completely hunted out if you keep learning and trying.

Congrats on the finds!!! Love finding wheaties and anytime silver is involved is always a plus!!
