I met up with my hunting buddy this morning at the place where I found the peace dollar over the weekend. The coins are sporadic, like the junk, and I only managed to find a few clad coins and pennies as I was finishing up the first direction grid. At the end of one pass, I got an odd nickley tone and found this nice 10K pin!

This place continues to produce some goodies each time we visit. Yesterday my buddy found an 1895O Barber quarter there while hunting another side of this field. The pin I found today once had enamel inlays, and was made in the 1950s.

Thanks for looking.

Nice find - amazing how many things were made of gold when it was $35 per ounce. My father used to get service pins from his company every five years. All are 10K gold with enamel decoration. Of course adjusted for inflation $35 back then would probably be $500 today.
